Tales of Fantasy: Our Myths and Legends at the New Brunswick Museum

Step into a world of wonder and discovery at the New Brunswick Museum’s latest exhibition, Tales of Fantasy: Our Myths and Legends.

From May 17 to September 2, 2019, explore the rich cultural heritage of Quebec, Canada, and Indigenous communities through stories that have captivated hearts and imaginations for centuries.

Journey through uncharted territories of the human imagination, where fantastical creatures, strange phenomena, and magical beings come to life. Discover the timeless tales and legends of the Mauricie region, featuring the work of renowned authors and storytellers like Bryan Perro and Fred Pellerin.

This interactive and immersive exhibition, developed by the Corporation culturelle de Shawinigan and organized by the Sherbrooke Nature and Science Museum, invites visitors of all ages to leave reality behind and connect with a shared cultural legacy. “The exhibition is a common thread that weaves together our shared Canadian heritage,” says Dominique Gélinas, Head of Exhibitions and Visitor Experience. “It’s a chance to explore the universal language of myth and legend, and to rediscover the magic that unites us all.”
